Recently, the Moscow Patriarchate has been talking about the need to create an “Orthodox” concept of human rights. They say that secular human rights activists who take the position of secular humanism do not take into account the peculiarities of the Christian worldview. It is all the more gratifying that in Tver the Orthodox and those same “wrong” human rights activists have found a common language and together are trying to perpetuate the memory of people shot during the years of Stalin’s repressions. Every 10th person shot is a priest. Is it really only grief that brings us together?
