On the morning of February 26, the FSB announced the detention in Saratov two teenagers born in 2005, who were going to attack a school with weapons. SK specified that they were 14 and 15 years old. According to the special services, adolescents were detained on the territory of one of the abandoned bomb shelters, where they stored weapons. According to the security forces, during the attack, schoolchildren were going to use incendiary mixtures, the recipes of which were found on the Internet. The report of the law enforcement agencies separately notes that adolescents were “in various Internet communities that promote the ideology of mass killings and suicide”.

The FSB also published excerpts from the interrogation of adolescents. One of them says that he became interested in the ideology of mass killings about a year ago and that the purpose of the attack was revenge (however, it is not very clear who exactly).

When asked how many people they planned to kill, he replied: “I don’t care, [comrade] counted about 40 people.”

The second teenager specified that they had a plan of the attack, and they were going to commit it in May of this year.

The widespread video also captures the rear of the adolescents themselves, whose faces were hidden. The Free News news agency writes that the personnel have been made, presumably, against the backdrop of bomb shelters of the former Saratov aviation plant.

Officially, the school on which the attack was planned is not called. “Since the personalities of adolescents are not declassified, we cannot say that [that they planned an attack on the school in which they studied], but our law enforcement source said that these two boys were going to attack it precisely on it,” Maria Aleksina, chef of Free News, said in a conversation with the “new” chef.

Saratov24 reports that we are talking about school No. 14 in the Kirovsky district of the city. After the report of the detention of adolescents, she was closed, parents and schoolchildren were not allowed there. The head of the City Education Committee Larisa Revutskaya and the head of the Kirovsky district, Sergei Pilipenko, left the building during the day and said that everything is in order at the moment, the situation is under control, the channel notes.

The guys who study with the detainees at the same school told Mash that one of the teenagers exploded firecrackers and “sometimes offended” the other children, as well as “they are always screaming at school”. According to one of the schoolchildren, “they were normal,” but later the teenager stopped communicating with them.

A case of preparing two or more people was initiated against the detainees of adolescents for the preparation for the murder (part 1 of article 30 and part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code). On the same day they were arrested for two months.

The governor of the Saratov region Valery Radaev, according to Maria Aleksashina, announced the strengthening of security measures in schools due to the detention of adolescents. The press service of the head of the region noted that the educational institution is now a stable situation, the educational process is not violated. Social workers and psychologists are ready to work with schoolchildren, their parents and teachers.

Detention in the Crimea

This is not the first message about the detention of FSB adolescents on suspicion of preparing attacks on educational institutions. A little more than a week ago, on February 18, the FSB detained two teenagers in the Crimea, who, according to the special services, prepared two terrorist attacks in Kerch educational institutions. The FSB claims that the two detainees are followers of Vladislav Roslyakov, who fired at the Polytechnic College in Kerch in 2018. Then, as a result of the incident, 21 people died, including the shooter itself, about 70 more were injured.

The detainees in Kerch 16 and 17, during searches at their residence addresses, the security forces found bombs with damaging elements and components purchased on the Internet for the manufacture of explosives. The “trial” explosive devices have been tested by adolescents on pets, the FSB noted.

Baza published a video of interrogation of one of the detainees.

“Kotov was killed. They set fire to one with a solvent, they threw the other on the wall, they gave the third on the head, ”one of them said in the video.

Teenagers said that they found on the Internet instructions for the manufacture of homemade explosive devices and buildings diagrams. Along with this, they were administrators of groups in social networks and instant messengers, in which, according to the FSB, they inclined users to similar crimes. One of the witnesses in the case in particular lives in the Kurgan region.

The former girl of one of the detainees told the open media that he could hardly commit murder. “Yes, he was secretive. I didn’t tell me anything, but I don’t know why he began to prepare murders. He never talked about the "Kerch Strelka", he heard nothing of the kind. I know that I went to the fight, ”she said.

With one of the teenagers, the security forces in 2018, after Roslyakov’s attack on school, conducted preventive conversations from the fact that he left approving comments on the Internet under posts about what happened. “Despite this, later he joined the Neo-Nazis Internet community, one of the participants of which was previously <...> Vladislav Roslyakov,” the FSB noted.

Teenagers from Crimea were accused of preparing for terrorist attacks by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (part 1 of article 30, paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code). The SK conducts an investigation in three regions of Russia, where people who communicated with adolescents live and whom they wanted to involve attacks. Two days after the detention, the court in Simferopol arrested teenagers until April 18, the meeting was held closed.
