Evgeny Yufit died

On December 13, in Peterhof, at the age of 55, the artist and film director, founder of necrorealism Evgeny Yufit died.

Evgeny Georgievich Yufit was born in 1961 in Leningrad, in 1984 he created the underground film studio “Mazhalafilm”, which published classic short films of necroistentists, shot on an 8-million film, “Limella” (1984), “Offenses-turners” (1984), “Spring” (1987), “Spring”, “Spring”, “ “Courage” (1988) and “vepon suicide” (1988).

In 1987-1988, he trained at the Lenfilm film studio in the Alexander Sokurov film school, in 1990 he shot the painting “Knights of the Celesteules” at Lenfilm, and in 1991, the debit of a full-length film “Papa, Santa Claus died, who received the Grand Prix at the Rinini Film Festival.

The filmography of Evgeny Yufit also includes the paintings “Volya” (1994), “Wooden Room” (1995), “Silver Heads” (1998), “Militated by Lightning” (2002) and “Directing” (2005).

In addition, Evgeny Yufit was engaged in photography, painting and graphics. His exhibitions were held in leading museums of contemporary art in different countries of the world. In 2005, at the Rotterdam Film Festival, Yufit presented a special film program for his films and photo exhibition.

The works of Yevgeny Yufit are presented in state and private collections in Russia and abroad, among them are collections of the State Russian Museum, the Dutch film music, the New York Museum of Contemporary Art and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
