The Grand Prix of Formula 1 will be held in Sochi

In 2014, the first in the history of the Russian Grand Prix in the Rounds of the Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held. As the public " Kommersant " informed, the promotional contract for the race will be signed tomorrow. To do this, the General Promoter of Formula 1 will arrive in Sochi Bernie Ecclestone, who previously noted that the terms of the agreement were discussed, and the final version of the contract was sent to the Russian side. It is reported that information on obtaining a contract was confirmed in the apparatus of Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak.

It is assumed that the contract will be signed for five years. The first race will take place in the fall of 2014 in the Sochi Olympic Park, where an autodrome will be built, the cost of which can reach $ 200 million.

Under the terms of the agreement for the right to conduct the first stage, Russia will pay more than $ 40 million. The price of the contract will increase annually by 10%.

Now Russia and Formula 1 are connecting the performance in the championship of our compatriot Vitaly Petrov. In the personal standings, Petrov, playing for the Renault team, scored 19 points and takes 13th place.
