When I see “protocol recordings”, I am overcome with passion and curiosity. The President sits, the minister or governor sits opposite, and the second reports to the First. The way they talk is not how ordinary people talk. It’s as if one person is reading out the instructions for using an eclectic device, and the other is quoting an inorganic chemistry textbook in response. Bureaucratic language is complex and difficult for people, and they cannot speak it longer than the protocol shooting lasts. Once the camera leaves, they will speak normally.
How? Of course, they will switch to you. Of course, to connect words, instead of commas, they will introduce three- to five-letter idioms and tell a couple of salty jokes. If the First is in a severe mood, and the Second has not completed work somewhere, then the Second will receive from the First one up to the very first number. And I would always like to listen to these real conversations. Because it is during such conversations that politics is made, the most important decisions are made and the paths are outlined along which, falling and stumbling, our country then moves, and along with it I myself.
I would also like to eavesdrop on international negotiations. After all, there politics and roads are outlined on a global scale. And the communication between the leaders of nations is even more interesting, because people meet who are initially unfamiliar, who see each other only a few times in their lives, and cannot be friends. And they need to establish friendship among peoples, partnership in the name of peace. How do they communicate with each other? The other day, as you undoubtedly heard, our president lifted the veil of secrecy over the process of interstate communication.
“Very powerful man! Ten women raped! I never expected from him! He surprised us all! We all envy him!”
Putin said this not for the press, but for the Israeli prime minister about the Israeli president, but, as a former intelligence officer, he had to remember that even if the microphones are turned off, the walls have ears. Now the world press only comments on these Putin’s words, and it doesn’t care at all what they discussed with Olmert besides the sex gigantism of the depraved leader of the state of Israel.
So we took our president at his word. Colleague Radzikhovsky believes that one of the versions of such swagger of Vl.Vl. is that he has mentally already reached the finish line and is finally breaking away. Well, it may very well be so. But this is Putin - a politician. Is Putin a person?
And the man Putin has long been known for genitourinary jokes. This is at least the third of a number of hits. There was a threat to “soak him in the toilet”; there was an offer to a French journalist to have him circumcised so that “nothing would grow back on him.” Well, now - about the “exploits” of an already circumcised colleague.
When a person regularly makes “below the belt” jokes, this indicates that he is very concerned about this topic, and this, in turn, is a bad sign. And this also confirms another observation: our president is not doing well with humor. Some of his jokes are unfunny, evil, barracks jokes. He, of course, didn't mean exactly what he ended up saying. This happens when a person wants to joke, but doesn’t know how. And instead of a joke it turns out to be a typo.
You will notice the phrase “we all envy him.” It’s scary to even think what the president meant. That is, the administration, ministers, diplomats, aides, advisers - everyone who negotiated with him is jealous of Moshe Katsav, who raped 10 women - so it turns out? Well, Putin couldn’t really mean that!
A classic example on the same topic. Do you remember how, after Clinton’s meeting with the Russian political elite, Governor Ayatskov enthusiastically shared his impressions in front of the press? When he said Clinton was a great guy, "I'm jealous of Monica Lewinsky"? We laughed a lot then! If you remember what Monica did with Bill, it is completely impossible to imagine what exactly Ayatskov was jealous of and why he would like to be in her place. He, of course, didn’t want to say anything that we thought obscenely about, but he wanted to joke. And he joked. And everyone really laughed for a long time. And no one remembers why Clinton met with the Russian rulers, but Ayatskov’s comment following the meeting is well remembered. The same with Putin. He joked, we laughed. Everyone immediately forgot about the negotiations, and the vocabulary was replenished with a new sketch from the First Person.
