The Right Cause party may change its leadership system: if it currently has three co-chairs, it is possible that one leader will take their place. The Vedomosti newspaper wrote about this on May 13, citing a source in the leadership of Right Cause. Allegedly, the option with one leader is also supported in the Kremlin.

One of the party co-chairs, the head of the Business Russia organization, Boris Titov, constantly insists on changing the scheme. Vedomosti notes that among the possible candidates for the post of head of the party were the vice-president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Igor Yurgens and presidential assistant Arkady Dvorkovich.

Meanwhile, it is known that the other two co-chairs - Leonid Gozman and Georgy Bovt - are against the transition to unity of command. Another prominent member of the party, Boris Nadezhdin, says that the party has not yet taken shape as a single whole and it is not worth changing three leaders for one, but by 2011, when the federal election campaign is supposed to begin, it would be good to already have one chairman, writes Vedomosti "

In general, it must be said frankly that the party is somehow not very lucky with the unity of positions on fundamental issues, as well as with candidates for important posts. Not long ago, Gozman and Titov fundamentally disagreed on the issue of whom to support in the elections in Sochi: Gozman expressed support for his former SPS comrade Boris Nemtsov, and Titov stood for United Russia member Anatoly Pakhomov. As a result, the former leader of the Democratic Party of Russia and member of the “Right Cause” Andrei Bogdanov, who also submitted documents to the Sochi election commission, found himself in a strange position; later he withdrew his candidacy in favor of the same Pakhomov. The search for a person to fill the post of head of the Moscow branch of the party in Moscow continued for a long time: businessman Evgeny Chichvarkin found himself on the criminal wanted list, and persons whose names appeared in messages in connection with this search publicly refused the flattering offer.
