The main task of bureaucratic life is to please the higher authorities.

To determine who her boss is, it is enough to look where she hides her shrines.

With this approach, there is not only no uncertainty with the answer, but also the question itself: for the ruling party, the sun rises in the West, in fashionable countries. And no matter how much its representatives hate each other, no matter how much they gnaw at each other, their deposits lie in the same international banks, their children study at the same prestigious Western universities, and real estate documents are in the same the sweetest regions of the world warm their hearts weary of improper corruption.

So, the owner of the party that rules and owns Russia is the West.

And, just as Putin personifies this crowd, the West (despite all its versatility and versatility) is personified by the President of the United States.

His personality, position and mood influence the state of the Russian ruling party no less than Putin’s position and mood. So, once upon a time, the Khan of the Golden Horde was no less important for Rus' than the native bearer of the label to reign, representing his interests and carrying out his will.

Obama has shown himself to be a “president of war,” but the most likely winner of the November US elections today, Mormon Romney (first a Mormon, and only then a Republican) is much less attractive.

"President of War" Obama clearly will not bomb Russia during his second term. To say with absolute certainty the same thing about Senator Romney is quite controversial: religious fanatics are predictable, but only within the framework of their own logic, which is not accessible to ordinary people.

Thus, the Russian ruling party needs Obama, and it is before him that they have to bend.

The specific form of deflection is clear: the highest bureaucratic service that the President of Russia can provide to the owner of his class (not to say clan) is assistance in elections. Providing a wonderful opportunity to brightly and painlessly improve your image at a critical moment on the eve of the vote.

Putin has already provided a range of similar services - from the NATO base in Ulyanovsk to Russia's accession to the WTO. As a respectable citizen of the Russian Federation, I can make my modest contribution to solving the problems of the former and future head of state.

Imagine a wonderful TV picture: Obama, who hastily arrived in Moscow on an official visit, together with his friend President Putin, are leading the emaciated Khodorkovsky, Lebedev, and maybe a few more people by the hands from the rusty gates of a prison with faded red stars. And they are led to freedom past the twisted faces of drunken KGB officers standing with their Kalashnikovs on the icy streets of stormy Moscow, embracing polar bears.

Of course, it needs to be shown on NBC and CNN, but the central channels of Russian television can do without: let the viewer of the domestic production believe that Khodorkovsky is still sitting, just as the author of “The Bible from Solovyov” believes that his friend Governor Misharin is lying in the grave .

Of course, all those released will sign in advance a complete renunciation of any claims against the Russian Federation and Putin personally in a form recognized by the completely independent Western Themis.

But what an effect! - trusting America will see its president as a liberator of the innocent, a guarantor of the triumph of legality, justice and democracy. Moreover, what is especially important in the context of the global economic crisis, without spending on “smart” bombs and aircraft carriers, which are inextricably linked with ensuring such a celebration using conventional American methods.

Obama's chances of winning will increase sharply, and Putin will get rid of the fact that Khodorkovsky will either turn into his personal “head of Gongadze” or become the Russian Nelson Mandela.

But the main thing is the service rendered to the boss on time.

Who knows, maybe when Navalny finally grows up, he will even be allowed to live peacefully at a dacha near Monte Carlo...
