The prosecutor's office asks for the three years of the colony-settlement of the ex-director of the Sakharov Center Yuri Samodurov and the head of the department of the latest trends of the Tretyakov Gallery Andrei Erofeev, accused of inciting hatred for the organization of the Forbidden Art-2006 exhibition.As the correspondent of Interfax reports, the state prosecutor said this on June 21 during the debate of the parties in the Tagan court of Moscow. The defense of the defendants, on their part, asked them to justify.
The Tagan court of Moscow resumed a hearing in the case in mid -March. The process was suspended in August 2008 due to the illness of one of the accused.
Recall that Yuri Samodurov and Andrei Erofeev are accused under Part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (excitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity using official position). Yuri Samodurov was already prosecuted on the same charges and was sentenced by the Tagansky district court of Moscow in 2005 to a fine of 100 thousand rubles. Now this criminal record has been repaid.
Yu. Samodurov and A. Erofeev did not admit their guilt in the incriminated acts. Andrei Erofeev even wrote a thorough letter to Patriarch Kirill with an explanation of his position and an apology to believers if he involuntarily offended someone's feelings.
What is alarming: an employee of the Patriarchal Culture Commission Hieromonk, Nicodemus read out a conclusion in court regarding the exhibition - they say, blasphemous and blasphemous and feelings of believers, yes, insults. Until now, the main exposures of contemporary art were mostly odious - fist fighters from the public committee "For the moral revival of the Fatherland" and representatives of the "People’s Cathedral" under the leadership of the former supporter of Barkashov Oleg Kassin.
