Twitter users believed the news of Banksy's arrest published by the satirical news site
The satirical news site National Report reported the arrest of the famous street artist known as Banksy. Many social media users and some media outlets began to comment on the situation without understanding the issue.

According to National Report, 35-year-old Liverpool resident Paul Horner, who was arrested on Monday morning by London police, was hiding under the name Banksy. London Police Chief Lyndon Edwards allegedly held a press conference during which he spoke about the arrest of a group of five artists, only one of whom did not have an identity card. He was later identified as Horner, and in the studio, where the police searched, several blanks for future graffiti and counterfeit dollars were found.
For the arrest photograph, National Report used a 2011 photograph taken during the Notting Hill riots.
The National Report journalist also referred to an article about Banksy’s arrest on the BBC website, but there is no such material on the portal of the authoritative publication. The news attracted the attention of some media outlets and went viral on social media.

This is not the first time the media have reported the arrest of a famous street artist. In February 2013, the news appeared on the BBC and CNN websites, but was later refuted .
In September, several online publications reported to their readers the news of Facebook's plans to introduce a monthly fee for using the social network, also first published by the National Report website.
