The resolution of the All-Diaspora Unification Council calls on the Russian Orthodox Church to resolve the issue of participation in the World Council of Churches, which is “embarrassing” the clergy and flock of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad. And the rest of the “remaining unresolved church issues” are left until the “coming Local Council of the United Russian Church.” On the other hand, the council members expressed their readiness to “obey the decisions of the upcoming Council of Bishops.” So now the main thing is: whether or not the council will adopt the Act on Canonical Communion with the Moscow Patriarchate, according to which the ROCOR will become a self-governing part of the Local Russian Church.
