Anges Varda died

On the night of March 29 in Paris, at the age of 90, director Anyue Varda died, one of the pioneers of the New Wave of French cinema.

Ans Varda was born in 1928 in Brussels, studied literature and psychology in the Sorbonne and the history of the art at the Louvre school, worked as a photojournalist and official photographer of the Avignon festival and the National People's Theater.

In 1955, the first film by Ans Varda, Pointe Courte, who became the predecessor of the French “New Wave” was released. The last work of the director was the documentary “ Varda through Angnès”, which was premiered by Berlinale-2019.
