It was in the reign of George III
that theforesaid Personages lined and quarrelled;
good or bad, handsome or ugly,
Rich or Poor, They Are All Equal Now.

OUR Souls are a Myriad of Wars
And i'M Losing EVERYONE
IT Will Make My Last Breath Pass out at Dawn
IT Will Make My Body Dissolve Out in the Blue

I see a boy of seven to eight years.
He has bright, burning hair on the crown of the crown. He stands in front of the entrance to the large hall and looks forward.
He is scared.
I want to show this frightened boy who first came to the theater, that everything is amazing and interesting here.
I tell him:
- There is an opportunity and the right not to hide. They are at your disposal. Others are hiding here.
We go through a large hall in which there is a small pond with lazy fish frozen in water.
We go to the auditorium.

© Anastasia BlurThe small but spacious hall has very high ceilings. Three columns. Parquet. Three girls - “Alina”, “Marina” and “Olya” - take turns talking right into the cells of mobile phones. About the paintings. About shoes. About the heat. About the exhibition. About the father. About breathing. About the inscriptions. About everything they see, and almost nothing about what they feel. Selfie lamps light up and go out. “Alina”, “Marina” and “Olya” continue to record what seems real to them. Just as the cameras of their mobile phones record it.
Dmitry Volkostrelov and Alena Starostin so clean the space of the “cannon fodder” performance of unnecessary details, which at first seems to be a rhythmized chita of the play. But these cleanliness and emptiness of space very accurately reflect the important reception of an important for this text of Pavel. The main characters of the text describe in detail the world around. The exhibition hall, the kitchen, a light turn of the head, the tile of the sidewalk, the wooden giraffe on the windowsill, the hand sliding along the stomach, the shadow of the foliage of the tree on the wall. But there is no confidence that this world really exists. These ghosts and fragility of reality are emphasized with an even, with the Baltic cool tone of actresses Yana Yatsuki, Ines Puja and Anti Aizup, pronouncing the text one on one on one with selfie lamps.
The ambivalence of composed and pronounced by them in Russian, English and Latvian languages of the world is emphasized by the fact that we are not completely sure of who is an audience of the performance - we, people sitting in the hall, or an invisible audience of a mobile video that is shot by actresses right now. At some point, Olya says: “I see people where they should not be. And where they should be, they are not. ” And this is true, because the audience of the video translated by actresses will appear later, already at night after the performance, when we follow the link indicated in the program.
© Anastasia BlurThis is the literal loneliness of a person in front of the camera - probably one of the strongest metaphors of postpandemic reality: we are not sure that the heroines are really three, and not one; We do not know exactly what exactly happens to her / with them; We can’t even say who she/they speak with, but we almost physically feel cold loneliness.
And the epithet "cold" is not chosen from powerlessness. The heat tormenting the heroine in the text, the cold light of the self-lamp, the ice chime of the sound effects of Dmitry Vlasik and the electronic chill of the Norwegians a-ha , suddenly bursting into the performance of the track “ This alone IS LOVE " . At the time of this musical intervention, love really begins to germinate from loneliness.
Selfies lamps shimmer with rainbow colors, and Morten Harket sings that his breathing will disappear at dawn, and his body will dissolve in sorrow. And only this is love.
This is not a description of the existing world, but an attempt to create, to fly, draw, write, compose, literally breathe life.
In this sad text there is something from the Portuguese FAD-a song where the lyrical hero is humbled before his bitter fate. Or, as Olya says, "awareness of the greatness of the world and the humble acceptance of my fate - that is what I feel."
The heroine of Eugene Green “Portuguese nun”, an important reference for the text of “cannon fodder”, is constantly listening to FADA. The main technique of the film is the large frames of the heroes who, during dialogs, pronounce the text directly into the camera, bypassing their partner and talking not even with the viewer, but with the great void that will absorb them, existing only on the film as soon as the final credits end.
And, it seems, it is precisely this great emptiness that is opposed by the “cannon fodder” of the text of Pavel Pryzhko - “Olya”, “Alina” and “Marina”: “Cleanliness lasted only a moment. Then again everything was covered by Morok, and everything fell into place. Apparently, the one who breathed beauty into the world is too weak breathing. ”
That is why the heroines describe everything that they see, hear, tangs in such detail. This is not a description of the existing world, but an attempt to create, to fly, draw, write, compose, literally breathe life. This attempt alone, these inhalation and exhalation, justifies the existence of cinema, painting, theater, art in general. But in vain. In this beautiful and sad fleeting futility, the border between the real and the fictional, between the “Olya”, the actress pronouncing the text, and the viewer, this text listening: “The mentioned personalities lived and quarreled during George III’s rejection. Good and bad, beautiful and ugly, rich and poor - now they are all equal. "

But does this mean that you need to stop breathing?
A quotation marks open.
On the scene of the scenery of the performance, the performance has not yet begun.
I put the boy in the first row, in the center, in a chair.
In the middle of the row.
He deserved it.
I speak:
- Close your eyes, take a deep breath and slow down slowly ... That's it. Now you can open your eyes.
