“Just at a press conference, Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn announced his resignation. He said that he would try to be useful to Buryatia in the future, there will be no run for the next term, ”said Alexander Maltsev press secretary.
As RIA Novosti notes, the decision "was unexpected." On February 6, the sources of the agency in the republic reported that Nagovitsyn did not plan to leave his post.
Nagovitsyn called his decision “thoughtful” and emphasized that “no one pushed him”.
