When I got acquainted with the investigation of the FBK dedicated to the Putin Palace near Gelendzhik , I was all the time I was haunted by the feeling that I had already seen all this. Approximately the same style, approximately the same denunciation language, about the same interest in the audience. But just where?
I did not have to remember for a long time. Of course, Mezhigorye, Mezhigorye Yanukovych, according to which excursions are taken after the Maidan of 2013-2014. Yes, of course, now that I saw Putin’s palace, I understand that then the corruption Gulliver was in the country of Liliputov, and now he was in the country of giants. But the essence does not change from this. All the same ambitions of random people who have learned only to plunder the state. All the same expensive tastelessness that just goes off scale in every frame of each residential and non -residential premises. All the same sincere misunderstanding why I can’t do that if I am the king. All the same desire - with a sincere misunderstanding why it is impossible - to record your own property on dummies. The same interest in the audience that only opens the mouth from this pseudo -Kupa scope trying to impersonate the pseudodvoryansky. In Russia, of course, a greater footage and more security than in Ukraine. So Ukraine is not Russia.
When Ukrainian activists and journalists spent days and nights under the Mezhigorye, talking about the illegal privatization of the former government residence and its show -off luxury, I wrote that in fact the Mezhigorye is not a reason, but a consequence of our troubles, as well as Ukrainian corruption.
Ukrainian corruption, which led to the Mezhigorye, and then to the uprising of 2013-2014, and then to the celebration of populism in 2019, is a consequence of the absolute indifference of a large part of my compatriots to the future of the Ukrainian state and their unwillingness to build this state. And thieves and embezzlers always use indifference and infantility.
This is what Alexei Navalny does not talk about in his investigations. The palace in Gelendzhik is a consequence of Russian corruption. And Russian corruption is a direct consequence of the fact that most Russians perceive the monster that arose on the ruins of the Soviet Union, as a full -fledged state, which everyone is afraid, which everyone must respect and which again restores order where it considers necessary. Well, most Russians, as, indeed, most Ukrainians or Belarusians, even do not even think of becoming participants in the changes in this state, turn the corruption empire into homeland.
None of those who are engaged in this corruption, nor those who investigate this corruption, have an understanding of the root causes of corruption, or those who are outraged by corruption abuses. And with this indifference, this infantilism, as in Ukraine, in Russia is used by thieves and embezzlers. And, of course, the ruler of such a state will always be the emperor Gelendzhik.
