Putin: The opposition has no goals and leaders

The Russian opposition does not have a single program and clear goals. According to the Air Force, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin stated this at a meeting of the Federal Coordinating Headquarters of the All-Russian Popular Front. “There is no single program, there are no clear and understandable ways to achieve goals that are unclear, and there are no people who could do something concrete,” Putin said. According to him, the task of the opposition is to delegate the results of the elections.

“Of course, in our country, and in any other country there are always, there have always been and will always be forces that are not important to the prospect of development, but the Brownian movement. The movement is all, the ultimate goal is nothing,” Putin said. “I repeat more: there are such people, and there will always be. And they have a flag in their hands, they have the right to exist, and in fact I believe that they should be respected with respect,” Putin said.

He also proposed to bring to the Internet a discussion about the transparency of the upcoming presidential elections, RIA Novosti reports. “We must develop discussions on the Internet, listen to people,” Putin said. According to the prime minister, it is necessary to “summarize constructive proposals, and if there are proposals aimed at increasing the transparency of all this process, then, of course, you need to use this, thank people and implement”.

The day before, Putin said that the state needs to increase the presence on the Internet and on television in order to inspire citizens with confidence in the future. "Roosevelt in the conditions of great depression spoke on the radio on a variety of topics, and not just on the problems of labor relations. The main goal is a national psychotherapy in order to inspire the country's confidence in the country," Putin said. “Then there was neither television, nor even the Internet, we have various means of working with public organizations, we use them ineffectively, we need to increase these efforts,” the Prime Minister added.

On Tuesday, ex-Minister of Finance, Alexei Kudrin, proposed to act as an intermediary with an “independent position” in negotiations on the finalities of the project of political reform and the rules for the upcoming presidential elections. Kudrin said that Putin was ready to hold fair elections on March 4, and in case of victory, he should be recognized as a legitimate head of state.

Meanwhile, the former adviser to Putin Andrei Illarionov is convinced that the authorities are preparing for a sharp turn and revenge, which can be carried out in the most stringent form. The murders of opposition leaders, terrorist attacks, military conflict and the introduction of a state of emergency in the country are not excluded. According to Illarionov, the current political crisis finally split the “real tandem” - security forces and “system liberals”. As an example, Illarionov cited former Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin, who tried to distance himself from Putin, which was perceived as a betrayal. Illarionov believes that during the “direct line” Putin, calling Kudrin to his friend, made him understand that “it would not be possible to jump off.” Meanwhile, according to Illarions, Putin was convinced that he could not count on the loyalty of "system liberals".
