In a harmonious bureaucrat choir of condemnation of Russian anti -corruption rallies, Putin’s vote, of course, is most important. Not even a voice itself, but the course of thought. Protests in Russia are associated with Vladimir Vladimirovich with the Arab spring. Not with the Maidan, notice. The Ukrainian Maidan for him is just a logical continuation of this very spring, a tool that was a "reason for the coup" in Ukraine.
The "Revolution of Roses" in Georgia, the "Orange Revolution" in Ukraine were before the "Arab spring", but he seemed to not remember them. He does not say that the State Department began with the destabilization of the post -Soviet space, then switched to the Middle East and returned to the coups in his patrimony. Why? But because the Arab Spring is his own diagnosis. His illness - and he knows for sure that she is incurable. But he is not able to understand the causes of this disease.
The “Revolution of Roses” and “The Orange Revolution” - despite its own defeats in the struggle for Ukraine and Georgia - were perceived by him as an intraspecific nomenclature struggle with the involvement of nothing without understanding slaves. Shevardnadze and Kuchma moved to the dacha, Yanukovych returned to the prime minister’s office, Kyiv and Tbilisi, were looking for agreements with Moscow on gas and electric power industry - what to be afraid of, and most importantly, who to be afraid of?
But the "Arab Spring" - it really was what made him finally move out of the coils. He saw that you could be a faithful ally of the West, like a Mubarak, but no one would protect you. He realized that you can negotiate with the West, like Gaddafi - but on a crop failure you will be torn on a dusty road. It was at this moment - watching the video frames of the death of Gaddafi - he lost all confidence to the West and decided to defend his power to the last Russian. And the Maidan of 2013-2014, he already perceived not as a new "orange revolution", but through the prism of the "Arab spring". He moved the troops to Ukraine so as not to become Gaddafi.
Its main mistake is that he does not believe in the free will of people at all (this attitude is inherent in the lower links). He is convinced that any mass shares have always been delivered and paid by someone. That people cannot go out themselves. That this is all the State Department and the world backstage. His joy about Trump was not from hope that he would be able to agree with him, but that the Trumpov State Department would not arrange the Arab Spring in Russia.
He sincerely does not understand that the West was completely not interested in the collapse of Mubarak or Gaddafi - as he was not interested in the collapse of the USSR at one time. He does not believe in the historical inevitability and the will of people to rebellion. And the fact that the outside world is forced to respond to an uprising and reckon with its results also does not believe.
There is nothing new in this approach. The Russian emperors wanted to be “European gendarmes”, and the empire went in bast shoes. Putin wants to be a gendarme of not only the former union, but also the Middle East, and his own youth suffocates from hopelessness and lies. But he does not want to see this, because he does not understand what a dialogue is. He speaks only with those who are creeping - and therefore may well believe in his own lie.
Gaddafi, by the way, had the same problem - he subjugated a diverse conglomerate, but believed that he was led by the state of like -minded people. The fact that he is hated not only on a political, but at some physiological level, became a real discovery for the Libyan dictator. He thought he was fighting with the conspirators - and fought with the whole country.
All these discoveries are still coming to the Russian Gaddafi.
