DAFT Punk has announced decay

The musicians published a video called "Epilogue" on their YouTube channel. This is a fragment from the 2006 feature film “Electromoma”, shot by Daft Punk, about two robots who are trying to become people. To the eight-minute episode, the group added a frame with the inscription "1993-2021", indicating the years of the existence of a duet.

The cause of the breakdown of the group is not specified.

The musicians Thomas Bangalt and Gi-Manuel de Omem Cristo created Daft Punk in 1993 in Paris. In 1997, they released the debut album "Homework", which became a landmark for dance music. After the release of the second album called “Discovery”, the musicians had a stage image - they began to appear in public in robots costumes.

In addition, the group released the albums "Human after All" and "Random Access Memories".

The single -tops “One More Time” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” brought great popularity to the duet. In 2009, the musicians received the Grammy Award for the best dance entry (Harder Better Faster Stronger) and for the best dance album Alive 2007, and in 2014 DAFT PUNK awarded the Get Lucky single. Over the 28 years of existence, the musicians became the owners of the seven Grammy awards.

The duet also wrote the soundtrack for the film "Throne: Heritage".
