The 29-year-old Moscow journalist Samson Shlademi Nazi pogroms is not afraid. His Nigerian father professes Islam, his mother is a Muscovite in the second generation. And the son is Orthodox and considers himself Russian. And also a nationalist. “I do not want to associate myself with blacks - if I see them in the subway, I try to transfer to another car,” Samson grins. Maybe neo -Nazis feel their own soul - according to Samson, no one has ever attacked him because of the color of the skin. “So, the drunken people will come in to sometimes, but this is not counted,” he waves. Or maybe the fact is that Samson was engaged in karate for two years and does not look like a convenient victim.

On the birthday of Adolf Hitler, April 20, Samson and I are walking in places of combat glory of neo -Nazis along the Boulevard Ring, from Arbat Square to pure ponds. For the first time, three dozen students who called themselves “fascists” wanted to make a memorable date in Moscow in 1982, they wanted to hold a rally on Pushkinskaya Square. The police reacted immediately - and the country found out about the incident only with the beginning of perestroika. Glasses quickly had fruits: after 19 years, in 2001, about 150 Nazis celebrated the holiday with the defeat of the market in Yasenev, where three merchants were seriously injured.

Since then, much has changed - the police, for example, have learned one day a year to work. For example, last Thursday they took under strengthened the guard of the Nizhny Novgorod Medical Academy - students from India and Sri Lanka at that time noted the New Year’s offensive in the Buddhist calendar (at the same time they held a Ceylon rite, which should deprive the male power of those who attack foreigners). And the 127th anniversary of Hitler’s birth in public, no one no longer marks.

A couple of dozens of skinheads are usually always trembling on clean -up boulevard. But on the birthday of the German Fuhrer, the skins hid somewhere - only Samson himself walks with a haircut under zero. “I have my head for five years, so my wife likes more,” he explains. All shops on the boulevard are busy with youth warming in the sun. On the informal mulatto, who is arguing about the national question, next to which we sit down - by the appearance of football fans - do not pay any attention, methodically absorb beer and argue loudly about something. “You will look on the TV next hysteria about fascism - and at first it becomes scared, and then there is such a rejection that you myself want to be a skinhead,” says Shutemi. He prefers the slogan "Russia - for Russians" "Moscow - for Muscovites." “If visitors violate the rights of Muscovites, buy apartments here, it would be advisable to limit their entry,” says Samson. Several filthy youths pass by, in appearance of fifteen, some of them in the sweaters of Pitbull - a favorite brand of sportswear at the ultra -right. Beginning neo -Nazis pretend that the African did not notice. “Of course, you have to fight with this trash, but not by violence. Street “Antifa” is not much different from their enemies, ”he summarizes.

In the crowd walking along the boulevard, four gloomy young people are clearly visible in the same black and white jackets. It turns out that this is an anti -fascist patrol exposed by the youth movement “ours” - such groups were sent to seven dangerous points of the capital (except for pure ponds, they considered Manezhnaya Square, Gorky Park, the hostel of the University of Friendship of Peoples and MGIMO and two markets - Cherkizovsky and Red River).

“If we notice some kind of clash, we must call the police,” one of the “ourselves” frowned. All four were clearly nervous - in the event of a conflict, they are forbidden to use force. "What will you do if the Nazis pester you?" - vividly interested in the patrol samson. “But what will you do if a person jumps on you? Probably to run away, ”the Antifashist commissar throws with irritation.

The patrol scoured in pure ponds until ten in the evening, but did not notice anything racist, however, like Newsweek correspondents with Samson Shlademi. “Maybe our presence reassured people,” the head of the Moscow “ours” shrugs, in the past one of the leaders of the grouping of football hooligans Alexei Mitryushin.

The Russian anti -fascists on April 20 could also have a holiday - in 1945, on this day, Soviet troops began an attack on Berlin. And now this is a very boring day, and for the close to power fighters with xenophobia, and for their armed enemies from the street. “Bones” (as the anti-fascists call the Nazis) sat quietly, because everywhere the police, explains the 20-year-old fighter with the Nazis Alexander. And he promises that "we will cover them later." He studies at Moscow State University, but asks not to name the faculty and surname and flatly refuses photography: a few days ago, at the entrance to the punk concert, unknown people stabbed another opponent of fascism - Alexander Ryukhin.

Concerts are a favorite place for attacks and the anti -fascists themselves. In September, several dozens of fighters armed with reinforcement and bottles attacked visitors to the SKA-concert “Tell Oi 2”, where the groups popular among neo-Nazis performed. A few days later, the anti-fascists arranged a pogrom in the museum of the artist Konstantin Vasiliev, where Russian followers of the ideas of National Socialism gathered. The fighters for tolerance made their last attack in mid -December at the club, where the concert of the Corrosion of Metal group was held. In one of their songs, the group urged to deal with immigrants.

Alexander carries with him a folding knife with an impressive size with a blade - "for defense, but so far it has not been to be used." He says that the anti -fascist movement now lives, as in a fairy tale: up to a hundred fighters gather for shares on “making authority fists”, although 10-15 people were the entire basis of the Moscow group about three years ago. “We can collect three hundred people, if you start preparation in advance,” he boasts. The street “Antifa” Alexander became “thanks to” an accident: five years ago, the de-apartment were brutally beaten by the de-tolmenists. The next day, the 15-year-old Sasha has found anti-fascists through the Internet and since then on average once a week has been participating in “combat actions” against “bones”. “We are now visiting their places: to Arbat, pure ponds, Kaluga Square. But it is best, of course, concerts, ”Alexander smiles.

The joy of the close victory of the street anti -fascist front is uniformly overshadowed by human rights defenders. “They are probably good people, but many of their actions repel from“ antifa ”-tets,” Alexander will annoy. For example, the chairman of the “For Civil Rights” committee Andrei Babushkin teaches that “among the skinheads there are many good guys who can be influenced.” It generally refers to both Nazi and anti -fascist showdowns as children's games, where scars "only add interest." Moreover, the composition of the gangs on both sides is the same: the main part of both the Militari Antif and the Skins are football fans, says Alexander.

And the habits are the same, in particular, to the conduct of correspondence ideological discussions. Near the entrance to the “clean ponds” metro on the wall in a telephone booth, someone stuck a sticker with a photograph of the Anti-Fascist killed in St. Petersburg Timur Kacharava and the signature “We Remember you”. On a large stone lying on the boulevard, AFA is bred with black paint - the abbreviation of the European Anti -Fascist Action (“anti -fascist action”). The answer is in the neighboring courtyard: “Glory of Russia! 88! ” So neo -Nazis encrypt the greeting of Heil Hitler.
