Agree, at first he seemed too persistent - this Armenian revolutionary. Well, how so: the deputies did not approve his candidacy for the post of prime minister, and he again brought citizens to the streets, blocked all the paths-roads, and rejected compromises. He was rolled by lawmakers, and he in response said that now their lesson. That is, announcing the "total actions of civil disobedience", is ready to negotiate with the authorities only on the "political funeral" of the ruling Republican Party. Is it possible: to contrast the people with the people's deputies?
Democracy is the same procedure.
When, for example, "United Russia" won the elections, then live with this "United Russia", respecting its deputies and voters. And if the president of your country somehow cunningly screamed with his closest friend, then we will shit your century with them - first with a friend, and then again with the president. After all, everything is honest, whatever one may say: they were chosen by the electorate: both of these and that, and this. He came to the urns and cast votes for them.
And sociologists are unanimous in their calculations: people support the ruling party and its leaders, formal and informal. Of course, it is possible to speak out against the party and friends in tandem, the law does not prohibit, but to a certain line. For which you begin, you understand, unauthorized rallies, the machinations of enemy intelligence, national presentation, Bender, Russophobia and populism, and cheap.
However, in Armenia, for some reason, everything looks different, although outwardly it is terribly similar to what is happening with us. So, the demonstrations, which the populist Nikol Pashinyan brought their supporters, were like unauthorized, but were not illegal. The rebellious deputy, the "candidate from the people", as he called himself, at first, of course, was detained and placed in a pre -trial detention center with his associates, but then they were released soon. And most importantly, the people who the local national leader have not approved by the most, the people have not approved.
President Serge Sargsyan, who ruled Armenia for ten years, and his party initiated a referendum on the creation of a parliamentary republic, where the Prime Minister became the political leader. At the same time, the crafty leader publicly promised not to be elected to the premieres, but he could not restrain his words. He was really tired, having filled his eyes to voters, and they went outside, as happened in Russia in 2011-2012, and then the plot began to unwind differently.
The dead national leader, instead of breaking their life, demonstrators who ruined the inauguration to him, suddenly recognized Pashinyan’s correctness and resigned. The deputies, who yesterday still voted against the turmoil quite amicably, suddenly decided that they would support him as the prime minister - at least this was actually promised by the head of the Republican faction of Vagram Baghdasaryan. As a result, the cruel disagreement turned out to be right in all respects - and regarding the procedure too. He, if local unicorns do not change his mind, which is fraught with a civil war, will become the Prime Minister of Armenia, forcing his opponents from the powerful Karabakh clan, local St. Petersburg, to be content with the second roles in politics, or even to rest.
About why in Armenia events are taking place that are unthinkable with us, you can guess for a long time. Little country? Ukraine is much larger, but there is also the order of things there. Yes, and in Moscow, if you recall Augustus, the regime of the Simple of Yerevan was swept away. A big brother in the person of modern Russia is trying not to interfere in the affairs of a sovereign state too much? This is already closer to the truth, since Armenia, surrounded by enemies, is almost the only faithful ally of the Russian Federation in the world and any party who came to power in Yerevan is simply doomed to be friends with Moscow. And when the local elites there are trying to appeal to the Kremlin, declaring Pashinyan by agent Navalny and Saakashvili, all of Armenia laughs, and the Georgian exile itself publicly calls them idiots.
And most importantly, the conditions for changing power have matured in the country, which can not be said about Russia. Among them, we note the formed civil society, which over the past years slowly but surely strengthened in the thought that the power had to be changed, and expected only that persistent leader who would take people out into the streets and would not leave from there, until he achieves his own. We also note the fact that the tragic history of the Armenian people was devoted to the struggle for freedom, and the memory of genocide literally forced to realize the value of each person, regardless of his political preferences.
It happened that in civil clashes in Yerevan people died, but to bring the case to a massacre or to stab the revolution with mass arrests - this is probably not Sargsyan to decide, neither the most frostbitten supporters who were losing power and loot. They will still try to stay in some key positions and return, trying to replay or even remove Pashinyan, which is not too experienced in the political affairs, but this is all later. Today they definitely lost.
Today, the revolution won, and in its most attractive version - the velvet revolution, which occurred without a single shot, accompanied by libations under barbecue in the fresh air in good weather and gambling playing volleyball. What the Russians can only dream of - I mean those few who already realize as an unbearable grief for two past decades, but can not change anything. Although there is enough alcohol and meat for barbecue, not to mention volleyballs. But there are neither conditions nor politicians who are able to unite in the fight against the regime, nor the corresponding mood, when a sense of disgust for the authorities has reached the limit and overpowering any fear. But the tradition is not a penny to appreciate human life into the depths of centuries.
Therefore, it must be the opposition in Russia does not want to unite, so as not to wake the beast. That’s why the rallies are so little, and always within the framework of which you need to stand for a long time, waiting for a search and permission to go to a demonstration of protest. That's why we have velvet revolutions, with the rare exception, only from above. For democracy is a procedure, yes, and while you will wait for permission to feel a completely free person, life rushes.
