For a year now I have been trying to determine the name of a unit in which it would be possible to measure the level of Western political corruption and servility in relation to the Kremlin and other authoritarian regimes of the post -Soviet space. Maybe the most suitable measure of corruption is Schroeder? But the former Federal Chancellor of Germany, which, after his participation in the inauguration of the Russian president, called the German media "the nobleman at the court" of Vladimir Putin, does not commit any actions that could lead to criminal or even political responsibility. Schroeder is a retired politician who, his services to the Kremlin, earns a living. The times of his political take -off - like the times when his party claimed the position of the ruling, is behind.

Schroeder does not hide his connections with Moscow from anyone. He is just a lobbyist with connections and biography. But he does not run for the German parliament, does not bear formal responsibility even for the decisions of his own party. If Schrief has at least some responsibility, then moral. You can understand many Germans respected by their country, who are unpleasant to see even a former federal chancellor who was among Vladimir Putin's service staff. But this is the personal choice of Gerhard Schroeder.

Therefore, I would not measure Western political corruption in shreders. It is better to measure the depth of the fall of retired Western politicians in the shreders, proportional to the sum of the Kremlin fees received by them for their services.

And I would measure Western political corruption in agramunts. The former chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, unlike Gerhard Schroeder, is an acting politician, a Spanish senator and a member of Pase. It turned out that Azerbaijani politicians relate to their European partners in much the same way as the Soviet leadership was once interpreted. Under Aliyev - not to Ilham, but Heydar, and not the president, but the first secretary of the Central Committee - cognac and other gifts were taken to Moscow. Under Aliyev - not Heydar, but Ilham, and not the first secretary of the Central Committee, but the hereditary president - they carry gifts to Brussels. And it turns out that Don Pedro and his comrades are also a paddock for Baku souvenirs as the dear Leonid Ilyich.

At the same time, the persons whose bribe is confirmed by the results of the independent investigation PACE, escaped with a slight fright. The investigation has the names of several dozen parliamentarians who were guilty of violating the Rules of the Assembly and the Code of Conduct of the Deputy. The regulatory committee PACE decided to punish only four of them - among which Agramunt himself and the head of the Azerbaijan delegation Samar Seidov. And all the punishment is prohibited by the leaders of PACE and its speakers, but all other deputy capabilities among politicians suspected of corruption will be preserved. They will still act, vote and demonstrate maximum objectivity.

And then the question arises: why should such a high level of impunity warn other representatives of the Western political and entrepreneurial elite from the provision of services to the Kremlin and the Kremlin smaller? If the Schroeder - despite all the reputational costs - still remains one of the most influential German politicians, to whose advice they listen to by no means in SDPG, if agramunt after public scandals with a trip to Syria, resignation and Azerbaijani bribery, does not go from PACE anywhere, then everyone can decide that the Kremlin pension is more important than German or Spanish reputation. And who will say, in what number of shreders we will have to measure the depth of the western fall in the near future and in what number of agramunts - the depth of the Kremlin penetration?
