Holding breath

The counting of voting results in the US congressional elections is ending. It is already obvious that the Republicans, led by incumbent President George W. Bush, lost - the Democrats won the majority of seats in the House of Representatives. Now everyone is waiting for the results of the Senate elections: Republicans and Democrats are still running side by side with an equal score. Russian politicians are already worried: if the Democrats win in both houses, we will not see either the WTO or the repeal of the Jackson-Vanik Amendment. After all, horror of horrors, they somehow don’t like Putin very much.
