Half an hour before the rally of the Communist Party on Theater Square, I left the Okhotny Ryad metro station. Neither in the wagon, nor on the escalator, no person with an attribute, at least reminiscent of the symbols of the Communists, could not be met. On the square itself it was the same - people appeared incomprehensible from where, it was often empty before the frames: it seemed that the number of participants in the rally was replenished only when you did not look at the passage. However, by the beginning of the event, about 4,000 people gathered in the square. The organizers, of course, announced 10 thousand, but there were so many, for example, on pure ponds on December 5, and the difference in the number of protesters on an emergency and theater -breeder is visible to the naked eye.
The rally was discovered by Gennady Zyuganov, the leader of the Communist Party from the 90s. Started from afar:
After general discussions about the decline of the country, Zyuganov moved to the specifics:
The crowd loudly supported her candidate with cries: "Hurray!"
The second word was taken by the chairman of the Union of Communist Youth Anatoly Turenko. He suggested paying attention to the proxies of Vladimir Putin:
Representatives of various regions of Russia - Voronezh, Smolensk, Kursk spoke at the rally. They talked about ugly roads, low salaries and unwillingness of people to live in the province. Zyuganov promised: if he becomes president, he will fix the situation. Among the protesters were also people from various cities: Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Tver. The suburbs were widely represented.
One of the last word was taken by the leader of the “Left Front” Sergey Udaltsov.
Recently, ”he recalled. - I was at a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. During the meeting, he directly told representatives of the opposition that in 1996, not Yeltsin won the elections. And this means that in that year Gennady Zyuganov was supposed to become the president. But he did not become him due to falsifications in the elections. It turns out that for 16 years the power in our country is illegitimate. I propose March 4 to restore historical justice. If we will not succeed and Vladimir Putin will again become the president of Russia, then the very next day after summing up the elections, I suggest that everyone go to the Kremlin and not diverge until he leaves. Will you go to the Kremlin?
Let's go out! - answered the square.
The rally ended with the adoption of a resolution calling for vote for Gennady Zyuganov in the presidential election. Diverged to the sounds of patriotic music. Young participants in the rally, with whom I had to return to the subway, were really ready to go to the Kremlin - they already bought tents.
