Around the Moscow branch of Yabloko, an open confrontation flared up - the former Moscow municipal deputy Maxim Katz announced plans to lead the metropolitan cell. Now she is led by Sergey Mitrokhin. In the elections to the State Duma, Katz managed the headquarters of the ex-deputy of the parliament and candidate in the Tushinsky single-mandate district of Dmitry Gudkov (he moved from Yabloko). Gudkov then lost to the nominated “United Russia” Gennady Onishchenko about five percent, reported violations, but did not appeal the results of the vote. “Yabloko” worsened its result compared to the last Duma elections, gaining 1.99% of the vote (in 2011-3.43%). At the same time, the party lost the right to state funding, which is given only to those who gained more than 3%.

In Moscow, “Yabloko” showed approximately the same result as in the last elections-about 9.5%, but not a single apple-and-man-mandate went to the State Duma. Maxim Katz explains the idea of ​​changing the leadership of the Moscow branch with a desire to influence party life and nomination of candidates.

“I have a hypothesis on this score. Parties are so ineffective and uninteresting that you do not want to spend your time on them. You might have sat a couple of times a year on party discussions, if then the activity followed from this, which is suitable for your standards of adequate policy. So that everything is transparent, so that you understand how much money is and how much it is required. What goals are set and how they are fulfilled. How and why employees are hired and who they are. Who and why are put forward in the elections, how he will win and how to help him. What projects and for what purposes are created, ”Katz wrote in his Livejournal.

To achieve the goal, Maxim Katz has a clear tactic, and he does not hide it. In the Moscow “Yabloko” there are only 399 people, if a little more join the department, there are opportunities to change the leadership. Katz aims to recruit 540 new Yabloko members who will help change the leadership. First, the heads of district party branches change, then the city conference is convened.

“I joined the Yabloko party two weeks before the elections, met this party well during the campaign, I liked what was happening there. Since I have a public organization (“City projects.”-NT) and some support of my audience, I urged my supporters to join the party. As it turned out, there are only 399 members in the Moscow branch of the party, and, it seems to me, this is about the same as my supporters will enter there now. Therefore, I stated that I would apply for the post of chairman of the Moscow branch in order to somehow stimulate my supporters to join the party and carry out reforms there, which seem correct to us from the point of view of the organization of affairs, ”explains Maxim Katz NT.

He also calls the specific misses of the capital's apple trees - a defeat in the 2014 Moscow City Duma elections, when the party did not hold a single representative to the Moscow parliament, and a bad result in the 2012 municipal elections (37 out of 1500). Katz believes that this happened due to the "poorly conducted nomination of candidates and a poorly conducted campaign."

“The matter is not in my claims or their mistakes, but in how to act. It seems to me that our team has the experience of conducting election campaigns, socio-political activities, a fundraising, which the current team of the Moscow branch does not have just their other background, ”says Katz NT.

He assures that he acts strictly within the framework of the charter and does not intend to hold any negotiations with the current chairman Sergei Mitrokhin.

“We in the department with humor are treated with the intentions of Maxim Katz. I met new people, we will work with them. It is not clear what Katz wants to achieve, the chairmanship is a skill interest, but what's next? I do not hold on to my chair, I am ready to free him for a worthy person, but I do not think Katsa. “A license to nominate candidates for elections without collecting signatures to the State Duma is valuable. The main Moscow communist is hinting at the unsuccessful use of the images of Stalin and Lenin in the agitation, which distinguished these elections. “To obtain broad folk support, it makes sense to clearly determine some of our positions on historical issues. If they do not matter much for the political struggle at the present stage, then not to concentrate their attention on them, so as not to repel voters from us, ”says Rashkin.

As NT managed to find out, not only Valery Rashkin, but also another State Duma deputy from the Communist Party, Vladimir Kashin, who has a strong influence, and politicians close to him, did not suit the election results. “They do not like the distribution of passing places in the lists, many went to young bureaucrats from the environment of Gennady Zyuganov, and not to the old party members or honored regionals,” the NT interlocutor summarizes in the party.

“Rashkin was one of Zyuganov’s likely successors, but after the weak performance of the Communist Party in Moscow and the loss of Rashkin himself to Peter Tolstoy himself is now difficult to talk about this, so the communist’s activity is understandable,” says political strategist Valentin Bianchi.
