Abramovich intends to sell "Chelsea"

Roman Abramovich can sell his football club Chelsea to the businessman of one of the countries of the Persian Gulf. According to RIA Sunday Times, representatives of Abramovich recently went to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for preliminary negotiations. According to the publication, one of the meetings was held with representatives of the royal family of Saudi Arabia, but there was no information about whether anyone was interested in the proposal of representatives of Abramovich.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director of Chelsea Peter Kenion denied information about the intention of the Russian billionaire, who invested a huge amount of money in the development of the club, sell the team, and called it "just nonsense."

In 2007, information that Abramovich refused to finance Chelsea already appeared, but Abramovich himself denied these messages. “This is complete nonsense,” said Abramovich. “Everything remains as before, my relationship with Chelsea does not change at all, and I'm not going to change them.”
