The site of the Moscow Komsomolets newspaper was subjected to a hacker attack, as a result of which all its contents were destroyed, including the editorial interface and archive for all the years of the site. This was written by Kommersant with reference to the editor -in -chief of MK Pavel Gusev.
According to him, the attack began on Thursday night, and the hackers had enough ten minutes to destroy the entire site.
“When our employees noticed what was happening, they turned off the entire system, but it was too late. Of course, we had security systems, but the hackers managed to destroy them,” the editor -in -chief said.
Gusev has no suspicions about the organizers of the action, so far it was only possible to find out that the attack was conducted from the servers in Korea. From the assessment of the damage caused by the newspaper, the editor -in -chief refrains, but says that the Moscow Komsomolets incurred very serious losses.
The editorial specialists are restoring the work of the site, and for now, at MK.ru there is a blog with materials from the fresh number of the newspaper made using free programs.
