Conflict through the eyes of an eyewitness

Czech television employees (th) continue to broadcast even during the strike, but their programs can only be watched on satellite and cable television or on the Internet. State channels show either a black screen or unprofessional programs prepared by the new leadership. Such programs are made in the studios related to the private television channel "Nova". By content, they can be compared with the programs of the Belarusian TV.

The crisis has been going on for more than two weeks and, probably, will not end so soon. The new leadership of the readers and rebellious employees are currently not negotiating, both sides insist on their requirements. The CEO requires immediate termination of the strike and dismissal of a number of employees. Editors require removing him from his post, the dissolution of the Council of Thu, the composition of which is appointed by parliament, and the adoption of a new law on public television.

Czech lawmakers can find a way out. The government has adopted the draft law on Czech television yesterday, which will already be discussed tomorrow at a meeting of the parliament. In the case of the announcement of the so -called legislative necessity, the law can be adopted next Friday. In the lower house, it will probably be proposed to dissolve the current council of Thu and the Commission of the Media Parliament, as well as to remove the Irzhi of the Code of the CEO from the post of General Director of the Chi. The outcome of the vote depends mainly on the deputies of the ruling Social Democratic Party.

After a long break, the world will again learn the news from the Czech Republic from CNN. The dispute has already clearly gone beyond the problems of public media and took on a political character. But early elections are still unlikely. Only changes will occur within the ruling Social Democratic Party, and also, perhaps, the cooperation between it and the Civil Democratic Party of the former Prime Minister Vaclav Claus will be violated.

Over time, problems may also arise in the private television channel "Nova", clearly related to the Claus party. This explains the position of its founder and director Vladimir Iron, who did not support the performance of Czech TV journalists. The fact is that if, on the basis of the new law, the current council on radio and television broadcasting is dissolved, then the new advice could check how much Mr. Iron is compliance with the obligations, on the basis of which he received a broadcast license.

Obviously, Irji is not a petition for a short time to remain in office. Today, the general director of the Chi got to the hospital. To resign due to health reasons would be an elegant solution for him.
