The mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov should more carefully study the reports on the costs of the maintenance of the city authorities and it is better to inform his press service. According to RIA Novosti, this was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin, commenting on the statement of the press service of the capital's city hall, accusing him of lies.

This week, Luzhkov reproached the Ministry of Finance of cutting the capital of the capital of 24 billion rubles. The next day, Kudrin said that this year the salaries of Moscow officials increased by 24 percent, and the total expenses for the management of the capital were 6 billion rubles. The head of the Ministry of Finance called on the Moscow authorities "first build the metro, and then increase salaries." On Wednesday evening, the press service of the Moscow City Hall called Kudrin the words "lies and a provocation."

"It seems to me that Yuri Mikhailovich should study in more detail the reports and statistics of Moscow, including informing the press service truthfully," Kudrin said. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, on September 14, the Ministry of Finance, in accordance with the approved procedure, was reported by the Moscow Finance Department, which provides data on expenses for the maintenance of the city authorities. "The numbers indicate that the growth in the consolidated budget of the subject as a whole for the year will be 24 percent and 6.268 billion rubles, including the increase in wages - 19 percent, or by 2.757 billion rubles," Kudrin said.
