And this happens - the party in power received a warning from the election commission for violating the rules of election campaigning. True, of course, all this is on a local scale: the reason for the warning was posters on the streets of Birobidzhan. The party project “New Roads of Russia” was advertised, and local citizens saw political implications in this. And the local election commission, surprisingly, agreed with this. The advertising posters were recognized as election propaganda. And since they were not paid for from the United Russia election fund, as required by law, and also did not contain any mention of the imprint, the regional office received a warning. And, imagine, he came to terms with it.
In other regions and for more serious reasons, it is not possible to achieve this. Thus, Duma deputy from A Just Russia Gennady Gudkov saw a violation in the actions of Moscow region governor Boris Gromov: Gudkov claims that Gromov demanded that his subordinates achieve the maximum result for United Russia in the upcoming elections. Gudkov prepared appeals to the president, the prosecutor's office and the Central Election Commission with a demand to check the legality of Gromov's actions. The deputy refers to the text of the governor’s speech on October 6 at a meeting dedicated to preparations for the elections. It says that the heads of municipalities, along with party structures, “bear the main responsibility for organizing and carrying out direct work to ensure maximum voter support for the list of the United Russia party and its single-mandate candidates in the upcoming elections,” and that it is necessary to use all opportunities , in order to “make the work of our political opponents as difficult as possible in all areas of activity of their headquarters.” Thus, the governor instructs his subordinates to limit opponents as much as possible “with regard to advertising of all types (leaflets, booklets, banners, etc.),” Kommersant quotes the text of Gromov’s speech. It is also necessary, according to the governor, to establish interaction with media editors and election commissions so that everything is reliable.
Representatives of United Russia near Moscow reject Gudkov’s reproaches and say that there was not even a meeting where such statements could be made.
