Synthposium will be held for the first time in Armenia

On October 4 and 5, the international festival of inventive music and musical inventions Synthposium for the first time in its six -year history will be held in Yerevan.

More than 50 musicians, engineers and artists from 14 countries will come to Synthposium . Among them are the Swiss composer Thomas Felmann, leader of the Franco-Berlin House project DOP Damien Vandesand and Canadian musician Jess Osborne Lantier, as well as the founders of Dadamachines (Germany) and PlayTronica (Russia).

The festival program has an exhibition of creative technologies, lectures and workshops, audiovisual and multimedia art, live music and DJs.

The festival organizes educational programs for young people from rural areas of Armenia and the SARI project and UNDD. On October 3, Jess Osborne-Lantier will hold a workshop for residents of the village of Sariguh and introduce them to experimental music. After that, a group of children will go to Synthposium to Yerevan.

From October 1 to October 1 to October 3, the Anton Yakhontov (Laboratory for the New Media, Alexandrinsky Theater) Voices Without Bodies: Musique Concrète and Beyond, will be held in the sound laboratory.

Synthposium and Goethe-Institute in Yerevan will present the work “Gletschemusik” (“Music of the glacier”)-the sounds and images of melting glaciers inspired Robert Lippok, Lilland and other artists and musicians to create a project that attracts attention to the problem of global warming.

Special curatorial programs will be presented by the Urvakan festival and the PRUN International Movement, which has passed into Yerevan.
