The “legend” of the Russian hockey, the former goalkeeper of the USSR national team Vladislav Tretyak, said in an interview with the Kazakhstan weekly “Caravan” that he made the final decision to nominate his candidacy for the post of governor of the Saratov region. It is reported by IA REGNUM.
Three -time Olympic champion, multiple world and European champion now presents in the State Duma the Saratov district No. 158, where in the elections in December 2003 he defeated the communist Valery Rashkin.
The fact that Tretyak is a member of the United Russia faction, most likely, will allow him to safely register his candidacy and, possibly, win the elections.
