Regrouping of forces

Disengagement continues in the Russian Orthodox Church. Until recently, the official information center of the Russian Orthodox Church was the press service of the Department for External Church Relations, headed by Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad. But at the beginning of 2005, the press service of the Moscow Patriarchate itself was created (www.patriarchia.ru), which, presumably, will now be the official voice of the Church.
