
On November 11, at the age of 86, the poet, essayist and poeticist Valentin Khromov died.
This was announced by the poet Mikhail Groman.
Valentin Konstantinovich Khromov was born in 1933 in Moscow, graduated from the Faculty of English of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages.
He worked as a librarian, translator, psychologist, artist in research and creative organizations.
One of the first among the poets of his generation turned to the genre of the palindrome. In the mid-1950s, along with Leonid Chertkov, Stanislav Krasovitsky, Galina Andreeva, Andrei Sergeyev and others, he was a member of the “Chertkov group”, the first unification of the unquestioned Moscow poets.
