The judge of the Arkhangelsk regional court Alexander Kharlov canceled the fine appointed activist Mikhail Listov for the publication on the VKontakte social network of the 1945 Victory Parade. This was reported by the publication 29.ru.
The judge agreed with the lawyer that the photograph, which depicts Soviet soldiers with lowered German banners, is a historical memory, and not the propaganda of Nazism.
“I am very happy about this decision, 90 percent of people were for me. There were, of course, all sorts of scumbags, but people have common sense. Many supported me, thanks to everyone. If there weren’t such a resonance, we could not win. They would write most of all, to maintain the most after Alexei Navalny came out,” sheets said after the trial.
“Of course, this happened only thanks to public pressure - thousands of people took part in the shares and millions were outraged by state idiocy,” commented on the blockage of the regional court. “However, we must remember that this is a tiny victory in a huge war“ idiots against normal ”, where the normal ones are losing: every 8 days in Russia are sentenced to real periods for posts for posts in Russia social networks ".
The video of Navalny's " Action against idiocy ", published by a politician on February 6, scored 1.7 million views.
In mid -January, the police investigator called the Listov and summoned to the conversation "about the propaganda of Nazi symbols on the Internet." In the department, the man was familiarized with the case file. In addition to the 1945 photo, they also had a picture of the participants of the dance show on the Russia 1 TV channel in costumes resembling a Nazi uniform.
On January 19, after a repeated “conversation”, Listov was taken to the Isakoyurship District Court of Arkhangelsk, where the 59-year-old Listov was fined 1 thousand rubles under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public demonstration of Nazi symbolism). The judge made a decision, despite the error found in the case file. It indicated that the historical photo was published on December 5, 2017, although in reality sheets laid it out at the end of April 2016, to Victory Day.
"I did not deny that the page mentioned in the case file belongs to me. And the fact that I personally posted photos on it. Soviet soldiers - it was a picture of 1945, I was shocked by the fact that I could be claimed. I immediately stated that I published this photo as a reminder of historical events, and not to demonstrate the attributes of the Nazis. This photo is generally in history textbooks I printed my guilt, but my arguments did not take action, ”Listov said.
Listov stated that he was persecuted because of political views. Since 2014, he openly expresses his opposition mood, consists of a volunteer of the regional headquarters of Navalny. “In general, this whole story is nonsense. I was born in the USSR and hate Nazism in any of its manifestations. Both of my grandfathers participated in the Great Patriotic War. But I don’t understand the current judicial system and police work. And I don’t know whether I will appeal the court decision,” Listov noted.
