On Monday, the auditor of the Accounts Chamber, on Monday, appealed to the chairman of the State Duma of Russia Boris Gryzlov with a resignation statement. According to Interfax, Abramov said that he did this "at the request of the chairman of the Accounts Chamber Sergei Stepashin."
Abramov will note that Stepashin is "not only a professional politician, but also a noble person." “He recommended me to work in the joint venture and has the right to withdraw my recommendation,” the auditor said. “I certainly admit this right to him and I obey, although I do not agree with this decision.”
Abramov explained his disagreement by the fact that "he considered it necessary to make a report on the work done before the State Duma, the state authority that appointed me to this position."
In early October, the board of the Accounts Chamber unanimously expressed distrust to Sergey Abramov and raised the question of the State Duma about the early liberation of his auditor. The decision was made due to the fact that the three of the detainees in connection with the corruption scandal of the chamber employees worked under his leadership.
Abramov is 35 years old. He was appointed to the post of auditor of the Accounts Chamber on July 8, 2006. Before that, for two years he was the Prime Minister and acted as president of Chechnya.
