"Dracula" on Leninsky

In Moscow, the new musical of Dracula was added to the "Metro", "Nord-Ost", "Hair". Many are horrified.

Calm, gentlemen, - and what do we, in fact, want from the genre, designed, as you know, primarily for commercial success? The fact that we are waiting for something special from the musical is hidden in our history itself. When the musicals of such a level as Cats are removed there, changing the old repertoire to a new one, here and now they are going to cultivate Chicago born in 1975. They want to turn a more “fresh” musical to Michel Legrand into “Our lady from Paris”. But can the musicals force us to survive again that former, incomparable pleasure from the forbidden? After all, much that came from the West and caused delight, now does not look at all. Our favorite musical masterpieces in the theater and cinema, inspired by universal longing for the musical of those years, for the West, an empty phrase. But the memory nevertheless turned out to be more grateful to them. Well, the corresponding era should return the former weight to the former weight.

The composer "Dracula", the Czech of Karel Freedom, can be recalled from the hits of Karel Gott, the sweet -haired bird of our youth, on the "Paganini Violin" and "Lady Carnival", which Valery Obodzinsky also performed. In total, four vocalists work at the performance. I heard Slovakov - Frantshek Duryach in the role of Dracula and Helga Kovalovsk in the role of Adrian -Bandra. When the handsome frantica with a courageously unshaven physiognomy was called to the "bis" and triumphantly held the final note for a long time, the beautiful half of the hall behaved extremely incontinuously. In addition to the vocal data, Kovalovskaya in the frank costume of Sandra in the vinyl shorts and the garters of short leggings fastened to them was something to show. In music, they got the most beautiful melodic fragments: the Duet "Love" and the Aria of Dracula "Adrian, Adrian", addressed to the deceased wife, whose love for the vampire carried after centuries. The latter is able to compete with the unfading masterpiece of Maxim Dunaevsky "Constance" from "Three Musketeers". Ales Mankovskaya in the role of Lorein, the unfortunate victim of the vampire, showed not bad vocal and temperamental dramatic abilities.

Casting on the "Dracula" was carried out excellently. The main role is the "Golden Voice of Ukraine" Andrei Besvlovoy, the golden voices of Russia Andrei Klyuyev and Ilya Kiselev. The cor deucade is well -rushed, memorable. But there is a significant puncture-the translation of Valery Sautkin: it is not easy to sing it in size, and rhyme spin in the range "Dai-Ray" and "Heaven-Spasi". But this text is fun, I want to collect such pearls of a poetic style as "although human/ but I am eternal in life." And the final maxim “There is one/ to heaven/ You/ yourself” way to make you think that the creators of the musical meant, if it were not for the transparency of the final misans of the directors about the repentance and heavenly forgiveness of Dracula. By the way, Bram Stoker Libretto is very distant to Roman Bram Stoker, except for the same romantic chanting of delicate passion.

The Dracula is played in the Grand Concert Hall "Academic" on Leninsky Prospekt, which is located in the high -rise building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in the same spirit of the futuristic modernity crowned with the golden crown. The organizers - the Rosinterfest company - could not come up with a more successful choice. We have it in itself, this art, brings to the oath of the most unexplored novel of our childhood and puts on the uniform of a new patriotic idea, as happened with the Nord-Ost.

A stone's throw from the BKZ "Academic" will be Moscow City and a pedestrian zone like old Arbat.
