Altruism, of course, should also be considered the initiative of the System charity fund, which ruined the Future Time project 2 “To reboot Russian science fiction” and has highlighted a millions of prize fantastic storytellers (a genre that extends a rather miserable existence since the fall of the circulation of Soviet popular magazines). But the existing Fan and writer's party was predictably shocked and embarrassed. Either because of this , or as a result of this, the main feature of the new competition was that it was mainly judged by people “from the outside” - from journalistic and even scientific circles. And the central figure in the jury is called the “famous critic Galina Yuzefovich”, to which the fantasy writers predictly have many complaints (and, first of all, the one that she reads or looks more likely on the duty of service or for the latitude of coverage, sometimes admitting to dislike-about horror!-even to masters as the Stragatsky brothers). In general, the intrigue spun. The competition was jury in which there was not a single “real” science fiction writer, but there was, for example, a scientist of the highest caliber - Konstantin Severinov.
On November 30, in the “Loft” hall “DNA” under the pipes and luminous signs a la “immortality” gathered decently for the people, intending to find out whether a million rubles were able to “restart the Russian NF”. The first winner - in the nomination “Prize of readers' sympathies” - seemed quite natural - Alexei Andreev for the story “Show” 3 . Voting was held on the N+1 website and in social networks. In principle, with all its fame (especially in the bright times of the appearance of the first Internet media), Lyokha among science fiction writers is still a marginal who does not miss the case that he writes the real NF alone and does not make the successes of “brothers in the workshop”. However, at the awarding, Alexei was moderately ironic and did not ulcerate, as it happened, and the first thing he thanked his wife, who told him about the competition and “shoved from the sofa”. And intercepted from the scene immediately adopted by the TRV-hunger correspondent, very kindly spoke out and in response to the question of other contestants, and also very positively appreciated the fact that the usual NF test remained aside ... Meanwhile, we heard that the author of the “crane” was again called to hand over the next prize ...

Nevertheless, the main prize and half a million received, unfortunately, not Lyokha, but a completely beginning author Artyom Khlebnikov, who presented almost his first story with the name that he wanted to immediately “beat” him, “it didn’t even have passed” 4 . In fairness, it should be noted that it, perhaps, is really more innovation than in a strong and coordinated “shrimp” (with a plot, intrigue, tie ...). Here you have pieces of “srach” in future social networks, and very natural posters with an obsessive PR, and a hitler copulating, and a new form of schizophrenia ... Whether this was all with the innocence of a beginner or a conscious technique, we will learn, of course, if the newly -mowed author does not abandon to write after the first sample of the pen.
Is it possible to say that the NF-Ide used by the authors were completely original? It is unlikely that this is possible in our time. It is more promising to a new combination of existing plots. Artyom Khlebnikov forced to recall Svyatoslav Loginov’s story “Miraele of Private Day”, and Lyokha was the novel by the Australian Greg Igan “City of Modevodovka”.
By the way, it is interesting, as the “Krevtkin” stinginess of Lyokha, who, of course, did not pretend to be quite personally to the Russian oligarchs, “reaching for science,” those oligarchs who dumped a million on this holiday perceive.
