I never explain what one or another of my song about. For each listener, she is about what is close to him personally, this is the essence of any creativity, in my opinion. Do not chew and place on the shelves, but make you think. With the song "Snow" the last album of Malinen begins. And this is the first song from the album to which the clip is shot. I was wondering how the guys from the film crew would feel her, what meaning they would read.

As a child, I liked the fairy-tale young ladies like Snow White or Snow Maiden more, but the mysterious little animals are mummies. I re -read all the episodes several times. There were even comics about them in Finnish, my mother translated me.

I am glad that we finally show the video, which we have worked for so long, close the topic, so to speak. For me, the album “Contact Prin T ” (I went out last year) is an inverted page, I feel that I am ready for the next, I am in search. This is the difficult stage before the new album, when there is material, but you need a kind of plot. Perhaps this is not modern enough, but I think with albums, not individual tracks. Therefore, I want to achieve integrity, I think about the general sound, while without self -regenerators. At this stage, he throws from minimalism-a guitar or piano plus a voice-to something very thought out, in the spirit of the early John Brion, where everything is in its place. Until recently, an interesting offer was received, made vocal arrangements and recorded vocals in one good electronic project, but this is a secret yet :).

Tales are an alternative science. Science describes the world with facts, and fairy tales - images. But the basis of “experience” is always some events of real life. Perhaps that is why the story of the Snow Maiden has almost all peoples: the Snow Maiden, Snezhevinochka, Schneekind (born from snow), Zasan Okhin (girl snow), Dzyunanushik (snowy anush) ...

“Snow” instantly sunk into the soul, and the guys and their music turned out to be close in spirit and aesthetics. I madly wanted to shoot the video to this song, it responded in my imagination by an ancient Scandinavian fairy tale. Solemn and tender. No wonder Anton spent early childhood in Finland.

Perhaps the most difficult thing was to find the main actress and a cornflowing field. Snezhevichka seemed to me a delicate girl with thin white skin and blue eyes-ldinka. I found on the Internet a photo of a albino girl who is perfectly suitable for this role, and on the first day of summer I published a casting with these photo referens. We reviewed dozens of actresses and models, held a bunch of samples, and ... as a result, the same girl from reference photos, the KIMI model, played the snowstick. Lucky :).

The field with cornflowers was searched for the tip of the familiar botanist. But at the appointed time in the designated places where he saw them last year, there were no fields. Somewhere they sowed with other crops, somewhere for some reason the cornflower did not grow. Then it was decided to go the other way: we contacted the authors of the latest publications on Instagram with a tag #Vasilkovopol. People willingly shared the coordinates of photographed places. So our wonderful perfect blue island in the green field was found near Moscow.

“Snow” is the light of snow and the blood of forest berries. Each person is a hostage of two elements: icy egoism and warm, sacrificial desire to love another. These elements are forever in the movement: they interact, interpenge, put a person before a choice. I feel this struggle very sharply inside myself, and the most difficult thing for me is to find balance between them, allowing you not to go to the extreme, not to “burn” and not “freeze”.
