On March 31, the Moscow Electrician Dmitry Ustinov, also known as Taras 3000, releases the remixed Mistakes by the Mini-album, where his compositions from the last year’s album “Mistakes” are rethought by the composer and pianist Nikola Melnikov, electronic producers Tim Aminov, and OMMA:

The story with a clip for “Drift Away” is an example of non -accidental accidents and interweaving of thin lines of fate.

It is difficult to say, “about what” this song, I rarely think in such formulations, but often get an interesting effect-if I think about something at a time when I work on the composition, then this story seems to be “seized” into it and then reveals it myself. At that time I was very worried about the theme of the paradox of human relations and how multi -layer they could be. It happens that it is impossible to reduce what arises between people, to a simple and understandable story. On the contrary, all the layers contradict each other, and attempts to give this definition or somehow do it make everything only worse. It remains to accept all the chaos and contradictions and try to find some beauty in this or run away from it to hell.

The whole album “Mistakes” was a story about an attempt to find your own way to do things, refusing to ideas how to do it “right” and look for the way between accident and intention, rules and lack of rules. Each track that entered it, I pulled out of the garbage box.

“Drift Away” began with the fact that we were sitting with Omma at a campaign at Seliger at some kind of wooden hut at night and the light went out in the whole village. Some people went on the hut and tried to flood the stove, and we caught the radio on the portable synthesizer of OP1 and tried to make the track on four tracks.

Then Yura Makarychev appeared (vocalist on - the - go . - Ed. ), With whom we wanted to work together, and we accidentally discovered this sketch. Yura quickly wrote a text on him, which considered it not very typical. However, the text very clearly reflected the associations that have already developed in my head regarding this composition.

Last spring, Margarita Sayapina introduced us to Alena Shevchenko, who heard the track and caught fire to make a clip on him. According to her scenario, it became clear that she remotely considered the story laid down in the song, and we quickly got along. It was her directorial debut, and debuts were exciting and interesting. And besides, it was very rhymed with the main idea of ​​the album. Probably the main quality that is important for me in the people with whom I cooperate is the ability to question my own authority and be flexible to find the best solution. I really liked the seriousness and enthusiasm with which the Alena team approached this project, it was a pleasure to work with the guys on the site.

I studied for the director at Wordshop Music Video , where students gave a list of artists and tracks that we could take off the clip. I immediately fell in love with the track "Drift Away" . I listened to him ten times in Ripit and realized that the topic that excites me, and the music that reveals it finally met. Dima and Yura liked the idea. After which I gathered a young and talented team, with which we embodied this idea into life.

When the script was completed, the team and I began the search for locations that turned into a real adventure. According to the idea, we needed a groomed Stalin apartment. It was not easy to find this, and we visited the top ten killed apartments of Moscow. The second location is the acting greenhouse, next to which was exactly the same, but abandoned. This is a huge success, because it was perfect for our history.

The shooting themselves took place in three shifts. In the first shift there were two rather difficult tasks at once: to build a decoration so that the room was like a laboratory and a synchron recording, you need to have time to remove in the dark, and the night in May is already very short, at 3:30 it starts to light. Thanks to the team, we managed, although we had to sweat! We were sweating, and Yura froze, since he was in the same T -shirt and sat almost all night in his chair, not moving. In general, Yura - well done, is completely given to his work. After all, before shooting, he became very ill and did not even fully recover, but did not say a word that he was cold. Although everyone understood this, because he was shaking.

After the greenhouse, we were waiting for an even more complicated shift in the apartment, since we hardly fit in it. Part of the technique and props was in the porch, and the passing grandmother-show thought that we were shooting “Cinema for Adults”, and already wanted to call the police.

The extreme shift was the simplest compared to the first two. We have already rallied with the team, and it was much easier to work.
