Well, now, it seems, all the New Year holidays are behind. The 80th anniversary of the first (and so far the last) president of Russia was also walking away. The newly made single -party people - Nemtsov, Kasyanov, Ryzhkov and Milov - laid a wreath to the grave on Novodevichy. Coincided with the Polit -Bombom. Sergey Stepashin, pre-hugging a widespread and witty joke (something like “Are you still free?”), Kissed Nemtsov for a long time. Boris Efimovich looked slightly confused, but the kiss suffered worthy. The head of the Accounts Chamber and Mikhail Kasyanov did not bypass. Then everyone in turn began to hug with Pali Palych Borodin. Then the family drove up. (Perhaps, in this context, the word “family” should be taken into quotation marks, because, say, formally, as far as I know, Mr. Voloshin has not yet been related to anyone from the Yeltsins clan, but it was impossible not to mention him ...) Voloshin did not begin to kiss and hug with opposition, but did not refuse to hands with the handshake. I was tempted to ask why, after such a transparent hint of Nationalist, Alexander Stealievich did not shave off the “beard”, but I restrained myself ... Naina Iosifovna is warm (and, as it seemed to me, sincerely) greeted both Nemtsov and Kasyanov, and Tatyana even exchanged several replicas. But for some reason Yumashev was not ... and there was no Deripaska ...

I must say that our opposition leaders in this company looked quite organic. But those who, with the current rulers on a short leg, did not hit the mud in these circumstances - everyone managed to hide awkwardness and fright when meeting with “renegade”. And some, as I said, were not even afraid to show cordiality. Nevertheless, all this time I was not left by one simple thought: tomorrow the whole four would be taken to the execution, none of them will not move his finger - the mouth will not reveal. And if he reveals, then only then, in order to speculate on the ORT about the justice of the sentence ...

During these days, Yeltsin has already been said, it has been written and shown so much that it seems that until the 90th anniversary is definitely enough. The scatter of opinions, of course, is wide - from the unconditional praises of associates, associates and relatives (in places moderately argued, in places of vulgar) to frank curses with the usual set of claims (for example, the last cosmonaut of the USSR Svetlana Savitskaya).

It seems to me that the politician of the scale of Boris Yeltsin should first of all be evaluated by the political heritage that he left behind. And about whom, if not about Yeltsin, we can say that the mountain gave birth to a mouse. But the mouse turned out to be evil, biting and incredibly greedy. And Yeltsin died, and now we live with her. And we do not know how to lime. Over the years, the mouse has turned into a huge fat rat and covered the legion of other fat rats. And the end of this is not visible ...

Honestly, in the first years after the resignation of Yeltsin, a naive dream visited me from time to time: now our charismatic grandfather will recover, come into consciousness, look around and go to the Kremlin. And as he barks on the succession, as he will smash everything to hell there. But my grandfather did not go anywhere and did not bargain at anyone. Either he did not recover, or there was no strength already ...

For Yeltsin all these years, the current Kremlin had a restrained attitude. And the servants (Surkov and Co.) was completely afraid: look, they say, what horror and lawlessness was going on in the "damned nineties." And now - we get up from the knees, we are holding the Olympics, the World Cup and in general ... But in the days of the Yeltsin anniversary, the tonality changed: the tandem unanimously recognized the “merits in the democratization”. The younger partner opened the monument in the homeland of the “first”, and the major participated in the event at the Bolshoi Theater. And even uttered the corresponding words. The servants applauded. And the "family" applauded. In a word, everyone was satisfied.

And the background to the anniversary celebrations - right in Yekaterinburg, a meeting of the Council to promote the development of civil society institutions and human rights. And it is clear why it is on this day and in this city. To decorate the opening of the monument with a appropriate event with the participation of respected human rights characters. And everything worked out ... not only in the advice, this marvelous added new members (already our old acquaintance Leonid Radzikhovsky in it. It turns out that a person is trying to ...), but they also made a historical decision on him (and his president has accepted it !!!) to conduct a legal examination of the court over Khodorkovsky and Lebedev!

Well, how can one not throw up your hands, do not be touched and not thanking these beautiful people who are beating day and night about our freedom and our rights with you? And what a noble hero against the backdrop of outstanding human rights activists the young president himself looks like ... And the fact that all this cheap and vulgar booth will never affect the fate of Khodorkovsky and Lebedev in any way is the tenth business. They were not going for this, but on the occasion ... on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin. Bright memory to him.
