Test on Budanov

The murder of the former Colonel Budanov was a test of the legal capacity of the Russian authorities. Budanova, the killer and the kidnapper (most likely, the rapist), was buried with military honors - with an orchestra, honorary guard and salute. From a formal point of view, the charter of the guard service does not prohibit the Military commandant Hymik (I wonder who this military leader) decide to give honors to any person. However, it is significant that someone decided that it was Budanov, whom the court deprived of military rank and awards, deserves such honors.

There are many options here. The first - the Russian government gave the team to organize Budanov’s solemn funeral, as it was completely confused in the current situation. Obviously, she does not know what to do with a rising nationalist wave. This wave is a natural answer to Putin's policy of resting Chechnya. Initially, it was assumed that Moscow pays giant indemnities to Ramzan Kadyrov for the fact that Chechen problems remain inside Chechnya. This did not happen, Chechen showdown splash out on Moscow streets. However, Vladimir Putin cannot make a claim to the owner of Chechnya, whom he himself created. The only thing that remains is to bury Budanov with all the honors in meaningless hope in this way to extinguish the wave of irritation, covering some of the electorate so important for Putin. Zhirinovsky, who, give him his due, has an ideal political instinct, is already screaming on every corner that the name of Budanov should be called the street.

For all the humiliating for the Russian government, this option is not as terrible as the other. The one suggests that a certain military chief on his own initiative (or on the recommendation of certain “authoritative” people), without asking for permission from the authorities, decided to send an orchestra and honorary guard to Budanov’s funeral. This means that the command chain in the Armed Forces is absent at all. Today, at will, we send cadets to salute at the funeral of Budanov, tomorrow-to restore order at some plant, the director of which has stopped paying tribute, the day after tomorrow we are changing the government.

In 2000, Vladimir Putin reacted extremely clearly to the demarche of General Vladimir Shamanov, who threatened the Kremlin to “remove shoulder straps” if he receives the order to stop the attack on Chechnya. Shamanov very quickly left the armed forces. If the Kremlin pretends not to notice the story with the solemn funeral of Budanov, this will indicate the weakness of power. In the coming days, the authorities will take a test to Budanov.
