On January 3, 15 people were detained near the special detention center on Simferopol Boulevard for those arrested for administrative offenses. Among them are those who gathered to take part in a series of single pickets in support of opposition representatives - Eduard Limonov, Boris Nemtsov, Konstantin Kosyakin, National Bolshevik Kirill Manulin, Ilya Yashin. The editor-in-chief of the Daily Journal, Alexander Ryklin, Solidarity activists Mikhail Shneider, Elena Bukvareva, Dmitry Smirnov, Semyon Zon-Zam, Tivur Shaginurov, Alexander Bondarenko, Marina Rozumyanskaya, Ruslan Islamov, and architect Alexey Klimenko were detained. In addition, Andrei Poznyakov, a correspondent for Ekho Moskvy, and Dmitry Zykov, a correspondent for the online publication Grani.Ru, who were covering the action, were detained. According to Alexander Ryklin, they were about thirty meters from the place where the pickets were held. Nevertheless, a riot police bus stopped in front of them, riot policemen led by the deputy head of the Southern District Internal Affairs Directorate, Colonel Alexander Gavrikov, came out to them and herded everyone onto the bus, without explaining what they had violated. They were taken to the Nagorny police station. They kept everyone on the bus for some time, then they began to gradually let them inside and draw up protocols for violating the rules of the picket (they didn’t draw up protocols for journalists). After some time, everyone was released.
Supporters of the detainees planned to hold a series of single pickets at the special detention center until January 15 (on this day Limonov and Nemtsov, who were arrested for the longest term - 15 days, should be released).
