In 2017, photo projects on colta.ru are divided into several blocks. The third of them, called “graduates”, will present the diploma and final work of students graduating from educational programs related to the study of photographic medium.
In the first publication of Blok, we present the work of a student at the Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia named after Rodchenko Irina Greeting (diploma leader - Valery Nistratov) I Love You.
" I Love You ” - my first documentary photo project, which I shot in two years in the north of Russia, in the Arkhangelsk and Murmansk regions. My work does not answer any questions and does not ask them, this series of photographs is a non-nonsense formula enclosed in a metaphysical phrase for everyone and to no one. Through the visual interiorization of the captured, I wanted to convey a certain state of expectation, freezing, a pause, which is perceived as a unifying beginning and the end of everything while being inside and above, felt as the last sound of a rattling crystal glass before absolute silence. This, as well as personal, subjective detachment have become the basic principles used in the work. In the world of manic-informational dependence, everything needs to be decrypted, designated, framed, labels, cliches, and in this case I need to offer a sane “concept” for my project-this is a fixation of the moment of interconnection of the space, which people themselves change during their history, as forming the primary priority with life, lives and their content.
