Thus, in Syktyvkar, the authorities did not give the highest consent to holding a similar rally, and it was dispersed, and about 35 people were detained (in total, according to various sources, from 200 to 500 people gathered). The rally was organized by the national-patriotic movement “Boundary of the North.” Among the detainees are the leader of the movement Alexei Kolegov, the chairman of the Jewish National-Cultural Autonomy of the Komi Republic Leonid Zilberg (what unity is that!), journalists of the Krasnoe Znamya newspaper Andrei Shopsha and Valery Chernitsyn, as well as members of the Memorial human rights commission Ernest Mezak, Vladimir Zubkov and Semyon Tereshonkov. The local department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that some of the detainees are suspected of appearing in a public place while intoxicated and petty hooliganism. Detentions took place during similar actions in Khabarovsk, Chita, Nizhnevartovsk, Perm, Kurgan, Yekaterinburg, Belgorod, Bryansk, Tula, St. Petersburg, Cheboksary, Samara and Kazan. In total, more than 130 people were detained.
