But this week in heroes, of course, the Pussy Rait group. This process is unique in many ways not to say, in all its parameters. In addition, the miscalculation of the "bubble" does not fall, as luck would have it, under any article of the current Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. So, you should either change the Criminal Code, taking into account the historical decisions of the Trull Cathedral, or give a reverse move. The first would be, of course, it is very useful in terms of increasing general moral resistance, but it is hardly possible. And the second is impossible categorically: in the current government, the back speed does not turn on.

It remains to act in accordance with the still ancient Greek, but not outdated rule of oratory: the weaker the argument, the louder the voice should be. In this case, if not the Criminal Code, then hysteria. And I must say that in the PR sense this is a win -win move. Since the mass audience in our country, although it is baptized politically competently, at a permitted speed, and some even observe posts, and goes to the sacrament, it is nevertheless distinguished by extreme, pagan wildness. And therefore, a hysterical whistle, into which the witch hunt always pours, reacts positively and with understanding.

In this regard, the whole obscurantist fundamentalist nonsense, which is not related to Christianity, and in the walls of the court in a secular state causes an absolute feeling of a crazy house, and within a certain limits the power is beneficial. Like the December speeches of speakers on Poklonnaya Gora. Like a holmatic envoy. Like a girl of Sveta from Ivanov. The theater of the absurd, which Alexander Podrabinek has already written about, has its faithful fans.

In general, fundamentalism, primarily religious in form, but political in fact, solves a number of problems for the authorities.

- Fills out an ideological niche.

- It provides loyalty, albeit not a strong, rather significant part of the population.

- justifies the screwing of the nuts.

For all this, the choice of the fundamentalist trend, which in our conditions, will ultimately end with fraining on the basis of the general financial interest of the state’s power structures with the most archaic, reactionary part of the Russian Orthodox Church, is quite real. However, this choice has its own serious flaws.

- He does not ensure a solution to real problems, more precisely, ensures their ignorance.

- It is guaranteed to withdraw from active life, but in fact it expels the most productive, and not so small, social groups from the country.

- In addition, this is much more important for the authorities, the fundamentalist choice of reputation is fatal for any Russian leader, turning it quickly and guaranteed into international outcasts, the initiator and patron of blind medieval fanaticism and inquisitorial methods.

Finally, the fundamentalist choice in no way corresponds to either cultural traditions, or life, non -political preferences, nor frankly epicurean tastes of the Russian elite.

The last two factors give a certain hope that the authorities at the last moment will make a certain meaningful decision in the Pussiraot case. This hope, by the way, is also supported by the fresh statement of President Putin on this issue. However, there is no reason to exaggerate the meaning of this statement. If hope is not justified, that is, if the authorities, which is most afraid of accusations of weakness, will put girls on the nervous ground, it will mean her, power, a long -term strategic choice. The murderous for her and for the country.
