It seems that Rosneft is pestering YUKOS with material claims only because it still has something left. Otherwise, it is difficult to explain why the new owner of Yuganskneftegaz, having bought it for nothing, through the court demands that the previous owners pay for management mistakes allegedly committed in 1999-2003. The amount of the claim is 11 billion dollars. Most likely, Rosneft proceeds from the fact that nowadays everyone wins in court against YUKOS. Why not try to force the owners to pay extra for what was stolen from them?
