Where is the limit?

After the law on the fight against rallies was adopted, after searches were carried out in Moscow, the march of millions passed. By logic, he was supposed to either take place at all, or end something like the events of May 6-Mordoboy and the distribution of apartments to the “heroes”-to the firecrackers. Otherwise, what was such a hurry for the sake of? But the march was held in the best traditions of the December rallies - crowded, positive and mutually correct. And thank God.

But I am still worried about the question of the limit. Where is the limit of cruelty? What measures is the power is ready to go if the confrontation worsens? And it cannot but aggravate! Because in the country there are problems that are not solved - but clumsily, Dubovo, caricaturedly drive deeply. Dissatisfaction goes into indignation and not only does not decline, but obviously intensifies, and not to stop this with any fines. It cannot be that the authorities will continue to steal and destroy the country, and tens of thousands of protesters will also go to rallies - and nothing. This does not happen. It should swing somewhere. The question is where.

I looked at different hundreds of questions here. About the attitude of citizens to new amendments, about the recognition of opposition leaders. I looked at the polls about the attitude to Stalin and repression. And so I suspect that a rather rich ... bastard potential is hidden in the masses. That's right. We are trusting in popular insight. Because we rotate among decent people. And we naively believe that the people as a whole are the same. And he, alas, is such, but not quite.

The mentioned polls show how popular Comrade Stalin is, and the further, the less critical attitude towards him becomes. At the same time, half of the respondents has nothing against new amendments, which obviously deprive people of the opportunity to protest. And the fact that the march on June 12 was calm, nothing has been talking about. Because in the amendments there is a “potential” that is never too late to use. And the recognition of the leaders of the opposition is generally minimal. The most famous of them, Navalny, completely unfamiliar 80% of respondents. And how many of those 20%who heard about him are its unconditional admirers?

In general, there is a suspicion that our people are still dense in the broad masses. And I fully imagine that these people are happy that Sobchak selected one and a half million cu And these people do not think about the law and lawlessness at all, about the inviolability of private life and the like things - they simply do not think in such categories. But the fact that a person who has one and a half million must be poured - this is as much as possible. And they do not care whether money is honestly earned or not - the main thing is that I have no millions, and I am no worse than Sobchak.

I think that these citizens would be very happy if they simply took everything they have from the rich. The humiliation of a famous person gives them pleasure. In the forefront, they look at Life News Pictures from Sobchak’s apartment, because they are scared to find out what is there. And they are pleased to think that she was dispossessed.

You look at the reaction of citizens to Pussy Riot. They will delight these girls with enthusiasm for seven years, although there is no criminal region in their act. I did not like what they did, but I understand that this is not a reason for detention, there is no reason for the prison. And citizens do not think so. I’ll say more. I am sure that if the authorities decided to shoot some activists as agents of the State Department, then citizens would have approved this. Not unanimous, but massively.

We now love to talk about the 37th year. This is nonsense. Do not remember in vain. The 37th is a horror that we never dreamed of. And horror, which is most likely impossible even in a lightweight version. But there is potential for repression! Imagine that tomorrow they will completely ban rallies. Do you think the people will stir up? They will begin to plant (God forbid!) Those who had searches - they will say: right, there is nothing here! They will begin to requisition property - and millions will be happy.

Our whole past life shows that this is so. They were enthusiastically burned by the Lord's estates. The Bolsheviks were a bunch, and the churches were broken, people were tormented, terror was enthusiastic about thousands of ordinary workers and peasants. And the same thousands selflessly demanded that they be shot like frantic dogs in the 30s of the “enemies of the people”. They unanimously cursed the dissidents. And they, by the way, voted in slender rows for Putin 12 years ago. And now they voted for him by the majority - with all the falsifications and “carousels”.

So it is interesting to what extent the power is ready to use this potential of "popular approval"? My thoughts today, probably, are not very appropriate against the background of some euphoria from the mass procession on Tuesday. When there are thousands and thousands of like-minded people around, people with beautiful faces and bright heads, smart and active, it seems that the victory is close, that there is some step left, to push a little, and the stone is going out of place ...

But it is still so that the need for changes becomes clear not only the most educated, the most creative and entrepreneurial-but also, using the classic definition, the "aggressive-liable majority." And what will happen earlier: normal people “prove” this majority or power uses it as a weapon, as a support and justification of cruelty and lawlessness.
