There are such amazing coincidences: an organization is sued, and then - just like that, it happened by chance - the landlord terminates the contract ahead of schedule, and the organization has to leave the office. All this is now happening with the Golos Association, which monitors elections. The Ministry of Justice, taking advantage of the recent emergency inspection of NGOs, sued Golos on the grounds that the organization allegedly received a foreign award after the law on “foreign agents” came into force, while Golos refused to receive it. And immediately after this it became known that Golos was being evicted from the office.

As the organization states, “there is no doubt that the current situation with eviction from the office is the result of pressure placed on the organization. The history of last winter is repeating itself, when, in the midst of federal elections, the landlord, Literaturnaya Gazeta Publishing House, initiated the termination of the contract followed by eviction.”
