Without dismemberment

Nikolai Platonich Patrushev is certainly one of my favorite characters. There are two options: either this is a hellish troll, or this is a citizen who, about 35 years ago, holed up in a bunker with a black-and-white TV with the only program “Time” and has not left since then. True, how did he manage to occupy his current leadership position, sitting in an isolated bunker for 35 years?..

But not for the first time, he persistently tells us that America’s main goal is to dismember Russia and get our hands on our natural resources.

This somehow reminds me of the fear of aliens who will fly in and land on earth at the speed of light only to take away our coal, cut down our forests and take our women captive.

But if Nikolai Platonich had taken a closer look at his native fatherland, he would have seen that the goal that he attributes to America has actually been achieved. And even in an easier way, without any dismemberment.

Russia has deeply and firmly turned into a raw material appendage of the developed world. She swaggers around and sucks in her stomach to show off her strong abs, but in reality she clings to the monitor where oil prices are reported. Because, apart from pumping out our own mineral resources and selling raw materials to the West, our country does not know how to do anything.

And why such difficulties with dismemberment and forceful capture, if we ourselves are ready to give everything perfectly - and more, more! And live on, without even trying to come up with at least something to replace drilling the earth's surface.
