I remember my late great-aunt. It was Soviet times, the pension was small, and this encouraged savings and “rational use of resources.” We came to visit my grandmother at the dacha, we always brought something to eat, and my mother, seeing a piece of “green” sausage in the refrigerator, exclaimed: “Auntie, throw it out!” And grandma answered: “What are you talking about! You can still fry it!” She fried it, despite protests, and ate it. And nothing. She did not die from “green” sausage.

So these “evergreen” candidates are like that sausage. You can still fry them and continue to eat them! And we will definitely not die from them.
