At a low start

Gazprom is going to cut off gas to Belarus starting in the new year. Now it is the only country that still buys Russian gas at domestic Russian prices: $45, and it is in no hurry to agree to the conditions of Gazprom, which since 2007 plans to sell gas to Belarus for $200 per thousand cubic meters. On Tuesday, December 26, a Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko arrives in Moscow for decisive negotiations on gas. Meanwhile, Gazprom representative Sergei Kupriyanov said that a stake in Beltransgaz would help resolve price differences.
